It’s a GIRL!

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

Amelia Pearl Cornwell.  She decided to catch us off guard in several ways.  She came 8 days early, my water broke while my husband was out of town on business in Arizona, and she is a girl! We had really thought that she would be late and that we were definitely having a boy.  That rumor that the second baby comes quick and easily did not apply to me at all. It was a long labor with almost 3 hours of pushing.  But it was all worth it of course!  She is wonderful!  Our son Harrison has been adjusting pretty well. He is very interested and curious and “baby Mia” but has tried hard to make sure he is still getting our full attention. We have some adjusting to do but that is to be expected.  Amelia has been sleeping a lot so I have already snuck a little time in to putting some new earrings together!

Birthstone Circles

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

The Birthstone Circles are perfect for the woman who has a lot of children, grand children, or great grand-children. Each child is represented by their birthstone. The birthstones dangle in a cluster from a silver or gold circle. The circle slides around on the delicate chain.

Most of the birthstones are natural stones however several months may be represented by swarovski crystal (aquamarine and emerald).

You can also have several circles on one necklace with different birthstones on each circle. This is a wonderful way to represent different generations.

Please feel free to contact with your ideas!

Silver: $35 and includes your first three stones, each additional stone is $2. Choose the length of the necklace up to 26 inches.

Gold: $45 and includes your first three stones, each additional stone is $3. Choose the length of the necklace up to 26 inches.

This is my 94 year old grandmother wearing the one I made her for mother’s day with all of her grandchildren and great-grand children’s birthstones.   I made it long enough so she could slip it over her head and did not need to struggle with a clasp.

This particular Birthstone Circle necklace has 11 birthstones on it and the chain is about 22 inches long.
