Our Family…

Sunday, August 1st, 2010

My sister and I meet a lot of people while doing art/craft show, home jewelry shows, and Rice’s Market. We love talking to customers and enjoy our relationships with customers. Often we get to know about their own families and they get to know about, as well as meet, our families. Some people have seen Hannah and I through each of our last pregnancies. It seems that one of us is always pregnant! Here are a few photos that my cousin took. He is a wonderful photographer living in Philadelphia. If you ever need someone, he is amazing!!! He takes wonderful images, is great with kids, and very personable. Check out ChrisKendigphotography.com

Amelia loves her coin pearls!

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

Amelia has great taste! These are freshwater, coin pearls. They make a huge statement and are amazing. Customers that have purchased these pearls have said that they get stopped often by others asking about them. Very organic feeling and looking. Each pearl is hand wrapped in sterling silver wire. I do have several strands of these in varying colors including: peacock (blue/purple/green/pink), champagne, a light peach, white, and silver (with light flashed of green, blue, purple, and pink). They are a little pricey and range from $140 to $250. However, in the large stores they would easily be 5x as much. Hope you like them!

I am moving!

Monday, May 31st, 2010

My family and I have been living in Milford, NJ for about two years now. Our home is right on the Delaware River and a block from town. We love living in Milford but we have been quickly outgrowing our home and feel like we are always driving so far to get to places. The home is owned by my husband and I, along with my parents. The best part is, we won’t be selling out home in Milford. We will rent out the house in order to keep it in the family and keep out ties with Milford. We had been talking for awhile about moving to Doylestown and finally found the perfect home for our family! Our new home is in Doylestown Township and on a wonderful, wooded lot. The house needs some TCL but we love to fix up houses so we are enjoying ourselves. I have to say…between my new niece and moving, I am a little distracted! I am looking forward to some down time to get some jewelry designing in. I will apologize up front if I am not as prompt with responses or as focused as I typically am. I promise I will get back on track soon. For right now though, I am enjoying picking out paint colors and planning the flower beds!

Well, we would have sworn that Hannah was having a boy but we got a wonderful surprise with another little girl. I am a proud aunt! She is beautiful! She was born on May 20th. Both mom and baby are doing well. Hannah is feeling pretty good but very sore from the c-section.

Amelia a few months ago.  I just love this photo!

Kids are getting bigger!

Monday, January 25th, 2010

Harrison got a guitar for Christmas and loves it!  And the second photo is Charlotte on the left (Hannah’s daughter) and Amelia is on the right.  Hannah (my sister and business partner) and I are so blessed to be able to be at home with our children during the day.  Sometimes I think being a stay at home mom is so much harder than if I went to a typical job. Most days I am pretty exhausted but I am filled with so much happiness when I look at our children.  Having our small jewelry business allows us to supplement our families just enough to keep us at home.  Plus designing and creating jewelry allows me to challenge myself in new ways and keep my brain from turning to mush from dealing with so many diapers, sippy cups, and Dora the Explorers!  Thanks for all of your support in 2009! Hoping to make 2010 even better with new designs and great prices!

Stay tuned….

I am currently working on my “design theme” for the new year.  Funny how my ideas come to me while I am laying in bed, listening to my 8 month cry as a I am trying to get her to sleep more than 2 hours at a time at night. I need sleep!!!  I guess when I am overtired my brain goes into overdrive which I guess leads to some interesting ideas.

I am thinking very simple this year.  Finding 1,2, or 3 really wonderful pearls and stones to put in a design rather than tons of pearls and stones.  I love the looks of “pile on the pearls” which has been my design theme for the past two years.  However, the changing economy has lead to changes in every one’s lives.  I am trying to create pieces that focus on one special focal point to represent the appreciation of simple living.  Rather than owning tons of necklaces that you “like” why not own one that you “love”.  Simplifying can help us appreciate what we do have in our lives.  Appreciating the small things is healthy for all of us.  These designed will be wonderful whether you wear them casually or dressed up.  The best part… along with these simple designs comes a lower price. Everyone can save some money right now.
